Our Founder & President

My name is John Souter and I started Maui Me ®, Inc. back in 1998. I’m a professional photographer and almost all of the photography on this blog and on our websites was taken by me so you can get a feel for my work while looking through this blog and the Affordable or Maui Me ® websites.

I also perform weddings, and have been a minister for over 41 years. Unlike most of the other officiants here on Maui, I am a true minister who graduated from a Christian college and was a church planter for years on the mainland. All of my ceremonies are original and I performed my first wedding 37 years ago (they’re still married). When I am performing a wedding as your minister, my assistant (usually Linda, see below) will be shooting the photography.

Our Booking Wedding Coordinator

Susan Pieper is our wedding coordinator and the booking agent for Maui Me ®. She has been our main coordinator booking all of our Maui weddings and vow renewals for over 11 years so she has a long history of coordinating every facet of our Maui weddings. She has coordinated thousands of weddings for our couples here on Maui. When you call our 800 number you should hear her friendly voice welcoming you to our Maui wedding services.

As Susan shares on our home page, she has a wealth of experience and has come up with a lot of “secrets” to help you have a great wedding. So if there is anything you haven’t found on this blog or on our main Maui Me website feel free to ask her. We firmly believe that Susan is the best wedding coordinator on Maui. Susan also actively performs travel agent services for our Maui wedding and vow renewal couples, and now she has developed this service even further by developing a travel website and offering all of our couples very personalized travel services at no extra charge. That’s a service you’ll definitely want to ask her about because she is much more knowledgeable about travel to Hawaii (and especially to Maui) than any of the other travel agents you might know.

She is also an expert at saving our couples money on their airplane, accommodations and car rentals here in Hawaii. If you have a larger party coming to your wedding, be sure and talk to her. She can coordinate all of the details of different flights, and she will help you get the best deal by packaging your travel. She is definitely the one you want to talk to for Hawaii travel. Our On-site Coordinator

Because the actual work of coordinating all of the details of each of our weddings takes a lot of attention to detail, we worked diligently to have just the right person to do most of our on-site coordinating. She is the one who will work with you after you have booked your wedding with Susan, and she will make certain that all of your needs are met.

Linda Simon is our main on-site coordinator. She has been doing photography and graphics for years and we are happy to have her photography expertise as one of our staff members. She is quite proficient in getting the kind of photography that our couples want. We know that you will enjoy the results of her photography and coordinating services. We have a number of other great ministers, musicians, photographers, caterers, DJs, and videographers who we use for our Maui weddings on a regular basis. We have chosen them because of their ability to produce excellent results for our couples.
